And not too far from my Baja Fresh shoot came this Cal Tor (and I would actually be back to this particular spot again a few years later) one, and as the story goes: these semi-giant chain places refused to let delivery devils send a ragtag crew of variance to their locations and opted to use their own, proper and expensive shots across “partner” menus to upkeep their brand’s image and I don’t blame them for a split-second. While these quick gigs were decent, they were absolutely nowhere near the money we all should’ve been paid, and at least I would’ve gladly taken more scrutiny with the quality of the product for an appropriate pay and way less tools for “colleagues.” Hopefully this will change soon.
