Andrea’s Taqueria, Gaithersburg MD Airpark Road

Had the pleasure of shooting this amazing, unassuming relatively new spot called Andrea’s Taqueria located on 7601 Airpark Rd STE B, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 right after crossing of Airpark and Woodfield Rd aka route 124.

Simple, clean interior with more space that you would assume, starting off the corner of the little strip mall it is in. Right around the corner there is a typical Tex-Mex place that would remind you of the many chains, so Andrea’s absolutely wins in terms of atmosphere and a more traditional kind of setup.

The food was fantastic! Lots of nice staple dishes besides the galore of tacos, like tortas, burritos, nachos, papas “taqueras” aka asadas/etc, and even a latin pizza-

Then, of course, the absolute slew of proper, Mexican tacos!

And “vampiros” I haven’t really seen on too many menus – basically a crunchy tortilla with melted cheese that helps create a crust that holds the rest of the toppings, a bit like a tostada with cheese.

Owners are welcoming and the rest of the staff do amazing work in the back of the kitchen areas making Andrea’s Taqueria a hidden little gem tucked perfectly away from busier areas of Gaithersburg.
