Not that I would call this area Annandale being across 495 and nowhere near Litte River Turnpike, but Yummy Kabob is a surprisingly spacious spot tucked perfectly away off of Gallows Road and Woodburn Road.
I’ve had my share of Middle Eastern cuisine over the years, and somehow it isn’t often that I bump into places that actually do it right like Yummy Kabob did! Perfectly juicy meat instead of dry and charred chunks are quite honestly a bit of a rarity, at least in the DMV area. Noodle dishes were nice to see as well, as those usually aren’t on most menus over the staple rice as a side or a bed for all the shmeat juices to collect into. And I can’t leave out my personal favorite – the shawarma!
This is a roomy spot I definitely recommend finding and trying, and you will not be disappointed! Only other, similar place I can think of that really impressed me was Library Tavern in Washington DC.
