Simple with a Twist – Boxcar Burgers, Frederick MD

Had the pleasure of shooting this little spot, finally not smack middle of the tiny, but busy downtown Frederick, MD, and it was a pleasure! They’re a local 2-store chain with another location in Brunswick, MD, and do quality, local meat offerings with nice, subtle twists like pickled beets on their signature burger –

While they forgot about the shoot today, as any proper restaurant – they went ahead and whipped up all the needed items in a relatively short amount of time with everyone on deck in the kitchen. That looked something like this in the end –

And the food was properly good here too! The Frederick store is simple and quaint –

And you really don’t need a huge store front to deliver your vision! It always helps not being cramped up in a food truck, but trucks are absolutely viable options to chefs starting up their own brands of flavor on a relative budget.

Overall Boxcar is a very nice spot I definitely recommend checking out if you’re in the mood for that classic American lunch with welcome twists.
