Schmidt’s barbecue is a literal hole-in-a-wall gem with a much bigger, proper, and relaxing backyard seating area with it’s own bar and even a grill in the downtown Leesburg area. Food is the most excellent down to the sauces and quality of the shmeat, and staff is upbeat and welcoming.
This was a part of triple venue gig for me and having an attentive point of contact made everything absolutely smooth sailing jumping from one place to the next with food ready for the camera. Excellent days are ones like these when everything is done efficiently and I’m essentially in and out of the entire block before traffic even decides to rear it’s DMV-driver head in front of my retreat.
