Right across from the Georgetown Reservoir, sits a little restaurant strip right on MacArthur Boulevard that includes Momo’s Cafe, Little China Cafe, and Lupo Verde Osteria along with a couple more I have yet to hopefully shoot.
Momo’s was one of the extremely rare times that did not get buried in the bridge traffic both there and back unlike almost ANY other day since 2020-0 when ‘rona home sitting was lifted and highways became polluted with our awful DMV drivers who gawk at others gawking while everyone just sleeps on their brakes for absolutely zero reason and create 20 minute bogs all day long.
The place itself is very cozy and neat.

And the food menu is nice and neat too, offering predominantly paitan noodles and ramen, bento boxes, as well as personal hot pots, and I love these kinds of menus! Little stress on the kitchen that can focus on dishing out proper quality over quantity of choices. They also have a good online ordering system via QR code on every table for people who prefer the old-fashioned way of pen and paper orders.

And the food? It’s all great and goes as follows-
The hot pots:

Ramen that can be hat in tonkotsu aka pork broth,

Or in chicken broth, both miso, shio, spicy and not-

Vegetarian is on deck too and is pretty hearty-

And all of these come with a nice selection of toppings-

And last but hardly least, the bento boxes and one of the apps I got to cover-

All in all this is an excellent, casual little spot I do recommend checking out if you’re not feeling Lupo Verde kind of fancy and dressy and just want to eat some great Taiwanese style, Japanese dishes.
