Magnolia was one of the fancier places I’ve shot even in downtown Alexandria, so it was a big surprise to learn that they’ve shut down recently. This was a classy, 2-level upscale American joint with good food so something seemed off to them shutting down after surviving the ‘rona and everything.
A quick web dig revealed a change in ownership last year and since that point an overall slop in reviews, so that’s an old and common tale in this industry to hear.
