Library Tavern right off of 3rd street NW was a fantastic shoot a few years ago since I got to cover them for 2 corpos and do so efficiently in one go, but the real treat actually lied in the food itself for once!
Besides an amazing 2-story setup with pool table in the lounge-styled basement, the main floor has a huge bar with a very cozy overall feel. And the off-the-main-street kind of location only helps add onto the atmosphere and vibe here.
I’ve had my share of halal lamb up to this point – the usual half chewy, half dry pieces of mutton, but I’ve never had a properly juicy kind until I had Library’s fully juicy chenjeh kabob! Just, wow, unlike more than at least two dozen other places I’ve shot and tried up to that point. I don’t usually get too excited about food since it’s an overwhelming part of everyday life, but gems like this actually get my salivation going!
