French Quarter Brasserie or as most of us know it as FQB is an absolutely amazing French-Louisiana styled restaurant, and almost more importantly a bar with top-class drinks including their own casked spirits. I have been here on both of the notes, and I will simply let the photos do them justice because words simply cannot. They do have semi-primate, lofty rooms outside of the bar and tables for more intimate setting, so you can readily come out here for any type of occasion! Both Chefs and the barternders are extremely passionate and talented in their trades and will take real good care of you. I would have very, very, highly recommended checking this place out if it wasn’t completely ran into the ground by absolutely boof headed owner and managers….
The rest kicked in was when I got to shoot them about 5-6 months time from this original shoot, in terms of food, and noticed that old specials were gone, staff morale wasn’t anywhere what I knew it to be before, and lots of faces I knew being gone. The one good thing about befriending your bartenders for real is that you get to go and ask them just what the hell happened and why they aren’t there anymore. Always remember this – if a bartender who absolutely made the place what it was tells you he was fired because donkey management only wanted proper skills to open the place and not maintain it due to “cost” – just walk away and let it burn down faster because such a place absolutely will. Add that to being surrounded by college and Irish bars with their own, albeit below-par of a menu, and you’re just asking to run out of business regardless of how you try to spin your promotions and other nonsense backed by your disgruntled staff. This was one of the first times in my career that I witnessed a place just become a hole in the ground, but it absolutely was not my last.
