This one started as many seem to the past few years – owners forgot about the shoot, or likely weren’t even asked when they wanted to do it (thanks corporate, keep up your cushy desk jobs away from traffic and car repairs!) so a reschedule pushed everything back a week. Not to worry since I had another appointment in the area, but otherwise this would have ground some of my gears. I got some venue shots for the blog at the very least and set off into the beltway traffic.

Skip to the following week – owner was a tad bit late, but help was on deck and once he arrived, they got those flames up and food started flying out. I will always have a weak spot for good kabobs and shawarmas, and this place had plenty of nicely done kabobs and perfect, fluffy, white and brown rice to boot! The one thing that pleasantly threw me off was fried chicken. Afghan spiced batter kind of fried chicken you don’t really see outside of middle eastern spots, and not very often in them either.

Then seeing a burger and a cheesesteak wasn’t nearly as out of place after the fried chicken.

Kabob mains were all absolutely fantastic!

Curry and rice mains were no slouches either!

Appetizers are present and compliment both parts of the menu.

Overall this is definitely a spot to stop by if you’re passing through the area! And this isn’t me saying so solely because I left with boxes of, umm, props to sample for the next 2 days, haha. The props were very well seasoned and cooked!
