Typically I enjoy enthusiastic owners who are happy to have me there, especially when verbally reassured of the fact upon greeting, but that’s apparently no indication of things going fully according to plan. So, what happened here besides waiting on customer orders and having them awkwardly watch their food making its way to my table first? Not much. It always warms my heart when cheap owners slide real orders by my table first in front of their customers because in one story of the past I have seen quite acceptable rage come down upon the venue for doing that, and in this industry it’s honestly a no-no for food to leave supposedly clean kitchen area into the dining space and then return to be served.
In terms of fare here – there is ramen, takoyaki, and tempura, but sushi selection is your typical Americanized maki rolls, and ALL the bentos are teriyaki. For those with a sweet tooth it’s perfectly fine, but c’mon guy, add other flavors to diversify the already run-of-the-mill menu you have going on here. Great for quick prep and lower costs, but nothing really separates this place from everything else that’s a cookie-cutter copy.
