Back in my day, when Grilled Oyster Co. had 2 locations – I got to shoot both of them, and the one at the tip of DC was an extra fun experience to boot!
The first location I got to cover used to be in Cabin John Village, MD (aka Tuckerman Lane plaza), about a door or two from Attman’s Delicatessen when they had a location in this same strip mall as well, and my beloved Lahinch Tavern (and Cal Tor is still here to this day). Grilled Oyster here was modern, relaxed, and served solid selection of dishes-

Proper seafood classic as well as some elevated selections are always a great choice to have in my book. The second location was at the northern tip of the town called Washington, DC, and there I got to see these equally amazing plates –

Besides getting to keep and enjoy all the plates with friends, the DC location had samples of beer glasses send to them that they did not want and offered me a few – which I obliged to take off their hands and still use to this day!
Overall a fantastic place that seemed to have moved to Kentlands right by Rio and thus stayed afloat through the last couple years of restaurant calamity, so I would definitely check them out if you happen to be in the area.
