Oh Delia’s Arlington – seems that they’ve either moved since the old S Glebe road location no longer pings. Booooy was there a story tied around this place in the most unusual way to what I’ve wrote about thus far, but that would later repeat itself several times….
Initial shoot here was fantastic and I’ve even stopped by several times for lunch hence after and during one of these stops the GM remembered me and tossed me an unusual question, “Do you still have the shots you took 3 months ago?”
Of course I did, but why was the venue inquiring this out of the blue? Could it be that their corpo account rep completely neglected to upload the work that I did to their account page and thus they were running naked for whopping 3 months? And in fact, it could. I was pretty surprised at this fact at the time, even though this was the summer during which some horrible clerical neglect kept happening and plenty of kids who hated their office jobs got a slew of time off from their hated positions, permanently. And years ago, these cushy office gigs offered roughly 50k/year from a few birdies I paid attention to over the course of my front line work, so it’s not like their positions were minimum wage by any stretch of imagination for still being entry-level. And that account manager sloppiness projected directly onto their own clients and even me when I was sent on wild goose chases that were rescheduled without notifying me or simply never scheduled in the first place…
I did the right thing here and send copies of my shots to Delia’s so at the very least they could upload the shots themselves.
